Privacy and your choices

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Explore Kid handles information when you use our family activity discovery platform.

Effective Date: October 3, 2026

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

1. Introduction

Explore Kid is a family activity discovery platform and a product operated by Brevard Kid LLC, located in Florida, United States. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Brevard Kid LLC. Explore Kid is the product name; this policy does not describe it as a separate legal entity or registered fictitious name.

We provide ways to discover Businesses, Places, Events, Deals, Kids Eat Free offers, and sponsored content. Some content can be browsed without an account. Account features are intended for adults age 18 or older.

2. Scope

This policy applies to Explore Kid websites, mobile applications, and related features that link to this policy. It describes information collected directly from you, generated through your use of the service, associated with device features you choose to use, or handled by service providers on our behalf.

Third-party websites, apps, maps, calendars, and sign-in providers have their own privacy practices. Their handling of information is governed by their policies and your settings with them.

3. Information We Collect

The information involved depends on which features you use. It may include account and sign-in information; preferences you choose; location information when you use location-based features; Reviews or other content you submit; Event RSVP status; Trip and collaboration information; and activity information needed to provide features such as advertising measurement.

We do not require an account to browse certain content. If you use an account feature, information associated with that feature may be processed to provide it.

4. Information Users Provide

Depending on your use of the service, information you provide may include an email address, username or display name, account preferences, Review text and ratings, RSVP choices, Trip details, and information included in collaboration requests or other permitted user-generated content.

Please avoid putting sensitive personal information about yourself or a child in public-facing content.

5. Location Information

If you enable location-based functionality, Explore Kid may process device location information to provide nearby discovery, calculate distances, apply radius filters, or show relevant content. Location processing depends on your device permissions and the feature you choose.

Where supported, you can use manual location, ZIP code, or search functionality instead of granting device location permission. Location results may also be handled by mapping or other service providers needed to return them.

6. Preferences and Family Discovery Information

You may choose discovery settings such as age ranges, accessibility preferences, sensory preferences, location or radius settings, and other filters. Age ranges are adult-selected discovery preferences used to find relevant activities; they are not child accounts or profiles.

These settings may be stored with your account or on your device, depending on the feature, so Explore Kid can apply your selections.

7. Reviews and User-Generated Content

If you submit a Review or other permitted content, we process the content and information needed to associate it with your submission. A Review may display your chosen username or other public-facing display information, along with the Review text, rating, and related details.

Users may report content. Moderation and reporting information may be retained when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute handling, or enforcement. Account identifiers may be deleted or de-identified as appropriate.

8. Events and RSVPs

You may RSVP to Events. We process RSVP choices to provide RSVP features and related counts. Public-facing RSVP information is aggregate or count-based. We do not provide Businesses or advertisers with lists identifying individual people who RSVP.

Event information may be public whether or not you have an account. Your RSVP choice is not the same as a public Review or public profile.

9. Trips and Collaboration

If you create a Trip or use planning features, we process information such as Trip titles, dates, stops, and saved activity references to provide that feature. Where collaboration is supported, information needed to invite or collaborate with another user may be processed.

Trip details are shared with collaborators as part of the collaboration feature. Do not include information in a shared Trip that you do not want its collaborators to see.

10. Advertising and Advertising Measurement

Explore Kid may display advertising or sponsored content, including Business listings. Measurement may include counts of advertisement views and clicks to operate and assess advertising features.

Businesses and advertisers do not receive individual parent or user names, email addresses, exact personal locations, Trips, RSVP identities, or family preferences merely because a person views or clicks an advertisement. We do not provide advertisers with individual RSVP identity lists.

11. Business and Place Information

Explore Kid displays public-facing information about Businesses and Places separately from private or canonical operational information used to administer the service. Private owner, administrative, and operational fields are not part of a public listing.

For a home-based or mobile Business, the public presentation may use service-area information such as city and state. A residential street address or exact home coordinates are not intended to be displayed as the public service-area location.

12. Device Permissions

Depending on the feature you choose, the mobile app may request foreground location, calendar, or notification permission. You can manage permissions in your device settings. If you decline a permission, related features may be limited, and manual alternatives may be available where supported.

Adding an Event to a device calendar is user-initiated. Information placed in a calendar or other device service may be controlled by that service; you may need to remove it there yourself.

13. How We Use Information

We use information as needed to provide and maintain Explore Kid features; personalize discovery based on settings you choose; process account access, Reviews, RSVPs, Trips, and collaboration; display Businesses, Places, Events, Deals, and sponsored content; measure advertisement views and clicks; communicate about accounts or the service; protect users and the service; and respond to requests or enforce applicable terms.

14. How We Disclose Information

We disclose information to service providers as needed to operate Explore Kid, to other users when a feature is designed to share content (such as a public Review or a shared Trip), and where reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, or enforcement.

Advertising measurement may be reported as views or clicks. A view or click does not give an advertiser access to the individual user information described in Section 10.

15. Service Providers and Third-Party Services

We use third-party technology and service providers as necessary to operate the service. Depending on the feature, these may include Firebase and other Google services, Apple Sign In, Expo or native app infrastructure, and web hosting providers. Providers process information under their own terms and their arrangements with us.

We do not state that every provider receives every type of information. Information handled depends on the provider and the feature being used.

16. Email and Communications

We may use account email for account and service communications, such as messages needed to operate or support an account. Promotional marketing email is separate and requires the applicable opt-in or consent. Where a promotional message offers an unsubscribe control, you can use it to change that preference.

17. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide requested features, and for legitimate operational needs. Retention may also be necessary for security, fraud or abuse prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement, or backup and provider lifecycle processes.

Retention periods vary by information and circumstance; we do not promise a single fixed retention period for all information.

18. Account and Data Deletion

You can initiate account deletion through the account-deletion functionality provided by Explore Kid. A separate public account or data deletion resource may also be provided. We are not listing a separate deletion-page address in this policy.

Deletion may include account or profile information and account-linked information, as applicable. Some information may remain when reasonably necessary for security, fraud or abuse prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement, backups, provider lifecycle, or other legitimate operational requirements. Deletion through Explore Kid does not necessarily remove information controlled by unrelated third-party services, including information you placed in a device calendar.

19. Sign in with Apple and Google

You may be able to authenticate using email, Google, or Apple, depending on the platform and available sign-in options. When you choose a third-party sign-in method, that provider processes authentication information and may return account information needed to create or access your Explore Kid account. The information involved depends on the provider, the sign-in flow, and your choices with that provider.

Using a third-party sign-in option is subject to that provider's privacy information and account settings.

20. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled through the service. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We cannot promise that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost.

21. Privacy Choices and Controls

You can choose whether to create an account, adjust available discovery preferences, use manual location or search where supported, manage device permissions, choose whether to use optional features, and initiate account deletion. You can manage promotional email preferences separately from account and service communications.

Some settings or controls may vary by device, account state, or feature availability.

22. Children's Privacy / 18+ Accounts

Explore Kid accounts are intended for adults age 18 or older. Children are not intended to create or hold Explore Kid accounts. Adults may select age ranges to filter discovery for family activities; those selections do not create child accounts.

If you believe a child has created an account or provided account information, contact us at support@explorekidapp.com so we can review the request.

23. United States / Puerto Rico

Explore Kid is offered in the United States, including Puerto Rico. This policy describes the service's information practices for users in those locations. It does not make a claim that a particular privacy law or regulatory certification applies.

25. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as Explore Kid changes. The “Last Updated” date above identifies the date of the current version. If a change is made, the updated policy will be posted at this route.
